KDE DesktopYep, I’m joining everyone that’s had enough of Windows 11, especially with the spyware they’re adding in, called Recall. They say it’ll be secure, but it just sounds like a great thing to get hacked and leak lots of of important info like passwords. After trying Kubuntu, Linux Mint 22 and KDE Neon on virtual machines, I decided to go with the KDE Neon distribution so I get the latest KDE updates. So far it’s going well with some problems with Windows gone, but some different issues from Linux that I’ll have to fix (mainly watching video on the TV). Like anything, there’s a learning curve, but so it’s been a pretty smooth transition. Recently the percentage of computers running Linux went from 2% to 4%, but that count is probably low. In Linux you can turn off the tracking they use for those numbers and on some distributions it is off by default. Based on some website tracking I saw, it may be as high as 15%, around the same as MacOS.
